While some university professionals are helping schools sugar coat these violations, the Office for Civil Rights in the federal Dept of Ed is the ONLY chance many children who are in high school now, and especially in Maryland, have of getting equitable treatment by school districts. It is sad that teachers are forced to turn in their own co-workers and supervisors for violations of federal law. It is very sad that those laws are broken by those who are charged with the the education of our new students.
