In a Workplace English class that I taught, I used a video camera (my own
camera that I brought from home--but a tape recorder would maybe work too)
to work on pronunciation.

In one unit, we worked on safety and we worked out a script for a "safety
video", which the students then performed and I recorded. We then watched
it as a class and one of the things that we focused on were words that were
hard to understand. After reviewing those words, we filmed again and my
students were pleases with their improvements.

I did something similar for job interviews. We worked on a specific set of
questions and answers, which I then filmed. We looked at them as a class
and worked on the difficult to understand words and then started over
again.

In both cases, my students were helped by being able to hear the way that
they were pronouncing things. It made them more open to focusing on
pronunciation activities.
