Hello;

Most speaking/pronunciation assessments seem either expensively 
sophisticated or highly subjective.  I evaluate my pronunciation trainees 
with brief video recordings.  The trainees are given specific sentences or 
passages to read aloud.  They are not allowed to see or study the passages 
between evaluations.  Then I edit the video to juxtapose the before with the 
after videos.  Improvements, or lack thereof are quite clear.
