There have been auditory devices used in the students class and other modifications; however, at times I'm at a loss for how to help this student better understand the English language. Reading is not an issue and comprehension in Spanish. The student is in fifth grade and is also having some social issues with classmates. His family has been in the U.S. for only one year. If anyone has had previous experience in this area or has specific teaching methods that may improve my ability to help this student, please help! Thank you all.
