The Fall 1996 issue of NCLE notes, the twice-yearly newsletter of the
National Clearinghouse for ESL Literacy Education (NCLE), has recently
been published. It features an excerpt from the forthcoming book,
Literacy and Language Diversity in the United States by Terrence
Wiley, new ESL resources, news briefs, and information about new NCLE
ESL publications.

If you have not received a copy of the newsletter by being on NCLE's
mailing list, request one from ncle@cal.org. You will be added to the
list for future mailings. Please put "NCLE notes" in the subject line
and include your regular mail address. (Please do not hit the reply
button and send your request to the entire list!)

A reminder: Forty-one ERIC Digests about teaching adult ESL are
available for downloading from NCLE's site on the World Wide Web.
Visit the site at http://www.cal.org/ncle. Select "ERIC Digests" from
the main NCLE page to access a list of digests by subject.
