The following is another post from nifl-workplace listserv. It describes a
new website and looks like a great resource for Adult Education.

The following was on vocnet. Although it's not a workplace literacy
focused resource, I thought it was a great idea and something that you
might use if/when you include Internet-assisted instruction in your
programs.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: WWW Education Calendar [DECEMBER 1996]

Media Designs is pleased to announce the posting of our December 1996
WWW Education Calendar, which is currently accessible at:

http://home.earthlink.net/~mediadesigns/Index.html

The Calendar features significant dates, or events in history that
occurred during the month of October. The Calendar is referenced
with hypertext links to related sites on the web for each citation. In
this respect, the Education Calendar has been designed to provide you
with an instructional resource for teaching with the internet--linking
past to present and present to future. The Calendar is a free service
of Media Designs and is updated on a monthly basis.

We invite you to review our site and take advantage of the additional
resources we offer for supporting your efforts in integrating the
internet into core curriculum. We would also like to extend special thanks
to the many professionals who have responded so favorably and
enthusiastically to our site. We are pleased to be of service to the global
education community.
