The LiteracyLink Forum has a special guest this month, Toni
Cordell-Seiple.
You can read her inspiring story and submit questions to her
through Nov.22. As an adult learner herself, she has done a lot
to call attention to problems of literacy in the U.S.and try to
affect policy.

At age 47, Toni Cordell-Seiple roller skated from California to
Florida to focus media attention on literacy problems. Once a
non-reader herself, she felt compelled to do for others what had
been done for her. In 1990 she
started a tour "Rollin' for Readin." She skated across country,
making
public speaking engagements at service organization meetings,
libraries,
schools and Chambers of Commerce.

I invite you and your learners to read her story and send her
questions.Visit the LiteracyLink homepage at
http://www.pbs.org/literacy and click
on Toni's name to get to her site.

thanks, Noreen, and thanks again for having Sen. Murray participate.
It was a great experience for us over here.

     thanks again.
