Under funding from the Ohio Family Literacy Statewide Initiative, the Ohio Literacy Resource Center developed and published The Family Literacy Resource Notebook this fall. The 12 chapters contain how-to information on definition, getting started, collaboration, funding, curriculum, staff training, recruitment and retention, pr, and evaluation. There is a separate chapter of model programs from Even Start, correctional institutions, Title I, libraries, Head Start, ABLE, etc. The Notebook will be availble online by the end of the year for anyone to download sections of interest (it exceeds 1200 pages) at http//literacy.kent.edu/Oasis/famlitnotebook/ . Take a look now at the first chapter on definition. Email csapin@apk.net or call 1-800-765-2897 for more information. -- ========================== Connie Sapin, Assistant Director Ohio Literacy Resource Center 414 White Hall Kent State University Kent, OH 44242 800-765-2897
