I just returned from an Even Start meeting where I met Jacqueline C. Tagaban, an Early Childhood Development Specialist in Juneau, Alaska. She and her colleagues have made 12 of the most beautiful videos that you will ever see. Twelve more are in the editing stages, and 12 more after that are in the planning stages. The ones that are completed include a series called Parent's Journal: Pregnancy and Childbirth; Baby's First Year: Growth and Development; Toddler Care; Toddler Development. Family Feathers includes Preschool and Early Education; Social Development; Literacy and Multigenerational Grief. All the videos are focused on Native People of Alaska. They have not begun to sell these outside their home state yet, but they will be ready soon to offer these to others.
