On March 14, 2000, Sharon Darling, President and Founder of the National
Center for Family Literacy (NCFL) testified before the Labor, HHS, Education
and Related Agencies Subcommittee of the Appropriations Committee in the
U.S. House of Representatives.

At the invitation of Congresswoman Anne Northup, Sharon Darling testified in
support of funding measures that promote literacy and talked about the
