Good morning--

The following ERIC Digests have just been produced and are available from
the ERIC Clearinghouse on Adult, Career, and Vocational Education at no
cost.

Web-Based Training (218) by Bettina Brown examines the efficacy of
Web-based (WBT) training, including issues of market demand, learner
participation, training options, and program design. It also discusses
learning outcomes and gives suggestions for how these outcomes can be
improved through implementation of appropriate instructional design
principles.

Changing Career Patterns (219) by Bettina Brown explores how changing
technologies and global competitiveness have led to redefinition of
interests, abilities, and work options that influence career development.

Employability Skills: An Update (220) by Christina Overtoom discusses the
skills wanted by employers, how those skills match the ones students are
developing, and how education and training programs can prepare individuals

for a rapidly changing workplace.

Please send your request to ericacve @postbox.acs.ohio-state.edu and
include your mailing address if you want paper copies. The Digests will be
on our website within the next week.

Judy
