As you know, the focus of the NIFL-Family list is all about family literacy
programs, best practices in family literacy, and sharing information that
may be useful to family literacy practitioners. So, hopefully, you will not
see conference announcements posted here unless the conference has a family
literacy strand. But suppose
you wanted to see a comprehensive international list of conferences
pertinent to our field. Or suppose you want to advertise a conference?
Where on the Internet can you go to get or publicize this information?
One answer is the NIFL LINCS Calendar page at
http://www.nifl.gov/cgi-bin/Calendar/calendar_world.cgi
or http://www.nifl.gov/lincs
(and then click the calendar button in the leftsidebar)
There you can search for conferences, see a calendar of events this month,
months ahead, or up to a year ago. You can post your conference announcement
online with a click of a button. I think this is a useful service for the
field and so I wanted to let you know about it. (Thanks to David Rosen,
