Topics could include the following: · Global issues, including globalization, as they affect the development and wellbeing of individuals and communities and the development and functioning of institutions. · Salient features and innovative trends in lifelong learning, health and human services in different regions of the world. · The concept of mind-body oneness and holistic approach to development (social, intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual.) · The ‘Kerala miracle’ and the trends in development today. [The state of Kerala provides the venue and background for this conference. Kerala shows the way to low consumption and sustainable development without massive industrialization.
