You can also go to http://www.nifl.gov/lincs/discussions/nifl-family/family_literacy.html to search the archives of this family literacy discussion AND http://literacy.kent.edu/Midwest/FamilyLit/ to review many family literacy related resources. Although family literacy programs now work with families of children of all ages, "early childhood education" typically refers to pre-school (or pre-kindergarten) education programs. "Adult literacy education," depending on the audience can refer to any educational program with the target population of adults. However, in most family literacy programs, "adult education" refers to educational programs for adults with low literacy skills all the way through GED, or high school diploma programs.
