Having just taken training with Nancy Sledd and Sharyl Emberton in the =
four component model of a family literacy program, I now feel that I =
have a vision of what a complete program looks like.

The issue that arises in this small community is delivery of the =
program. I cannot see a centre-based model working here, so have been =
trying to envision a program delivered by multiple agencies and =
organizations in multiple locations. (This approach would also avoid =
duplication of services, and enhance sustainability.) We currently have =
separate agencies delivering three of the four components, and the job =
at hand is to link and integrate the adult education, child education =
and parenting programs, and introduce the parent and child together =
time. Any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Does =
anybody know of a current program being delivered in this way?
