Friends of the Literacy Assistance Center,

As many of you know, we are located in downtown Manhattan, just south of the
World Trade Center. Our hearts go out to our friends and neighbors who
suffered a terrible trauma today. I am pleased to report that our staff is
all
present and accounted for, as are their spouses and children. We were
blessed
today. We will be closed until the New York Stock Exchange reopens in the
wall
street area. Until that time, LAC staff members can be reached at
elyser@lacnyc.org.

Thank you all for your emails, calls and good wishes.

Elyse Rudolph
Deputy Director
