Folks, as you struggle with how to help and work with your families during
this time of our nation's horrendous tragedy, stay tuned to "Connect for
Kids." I have always found this newsletter to be an excellent source of
information from all over the place. I realize usually I only send excerpts
to this newsletter. However, for support in your work during the next few
weeks, this may be one newsletter you would like to subscribe to for
yourself. See directions at the end of this message on how to do so.

AFTERSHOCKS OF A NATIONAL TRAUMA: HELPING KIDS COPE

This is one of those rare moments when words fall short of giving voice to
what we feel in the face of the events of September 11th.

As families, neighbors and teachers try to comfort each other, we are all
trying to find the right words, especially in talking with the children we
care for. Connect for Kids has gathered a few good resources for adults to
help children with their fears and grief.

We at Connect for Kids hope that you and your loved ones are safe. Our
hearts go out to those families most directly affected and those who have
suffered personal loss.
