Hello. My name is Colleen Cline. I just joined this listserv and am unsure
what it is for except that you talk about family literacy topics. I am new
to the field of literacy/family literacy. In October I became the Family
Literacy Specialist at an organization called the Broome County Child
Development Council, Inc. in Binghamton, New York. We are a human service
agency that runs many programs for families, including Head Start. We serve
approximately 345 families. I am doing my first workshop in a couple of
months and it is going to be focused at the parents in the program. I want
to teach them how to read to their children. Does anyone have any creative,
innovative ideas or information they can share? I am so excited to get my
program started! I can't wait to hear from other professionals!!
