I would like to take the opportunity to build upon the questions that Meta Potts asked posed last Tuesday: What does curriculum mean to all of you who are asking for copies of materials? Does it come in a box with instructions on how to move from one step to the next? Does it have one piece or several pieces that fit together? Does it claim to meet universal needs, or does it show you ways that you (as the skilled facilitator) can meet the distinct needs of your students? Your answers to these questions are of particular significance to NCFL! We are currently in a needs assessment process which will identify the types of materials that are most needed by... YOU! This process will also drive the production of materials that will become a part of our training network. If each of you would take a moment to answer the above questions, and send them to me at jlee@famlit.org - I will assure you that your voices will be added to our needs assessment! I will also glean information from the provocative list serve discussions that these questions are sure to spawn! Thanks very much!
