Migrant Even Start RFPs Now Available

Migrant Even Start Requests for Proposals (RFP) are now available from
the U.S. Department of Education. The purpose of the program is to fund
comprehensive family literacy projects for migratory families who work
in agriculture and related industries.

The RFP was published in the Monday, May 20, 2002 issue of the Federal
Register, Vol. 67, No. 97, p. 35512 =96 35534.

Deadline for transmittal of applications is July 5, 2002. The Department
estimates they will award between 20 and 25 grants with funding amounts
