Raising A Reader (TM) is an award-winning program offered to child care
providers and their
agencies across the nation, with support from Peninsula Community
Foundation. The
program originated in California’s San Francisco Bay Area as a collaborative
project of the
San Mateo County Library, Peninsula Partnership for Children, Youth and
Families and
Peninsula Community Foundation. Raising A Reader is a sustainable,
economical program
which benefits low-income families with children ages 0-5.
