I don't have Gail's personal email address. However, if you've experienced similar technical difficulties, please read on. Funny you should mention it, but the first two times I tried to post to this listserv it bounced back. I asked the resident computer guru. She said to make sure you are sending your email message as a "plain text" message, and not in HTML. For some reason, the listserv software doesn't like HTML when you are sending web site addresses. I use Microsoft Outlook, so it may differ in your email program. To set mine to plain text, I went to the tool bar and looked under "Format." There it allowed me to select plain text, HTML or rich text format. You might also try looking under "Tools" in the tool bar. Under Tools, look for "Options." In options, select "Mail Format." In the area where it says "Message format," it should have a pull down menu that will allow you to select plain text. If you're still having difficulty, I suggest you search your email software's help files for "plain text" or consult with a knowledgeable person familiar with your computer's email software. When I tried to post CAAL's message about it's new publication, LEADING FROM THE MIDDLE, I was unable to get any NIFL listservs to process the message while it contained a link-through to the CAAL web site. In order to achieve the posting, I had to remove the "http" part of the address, which then made it necessary for people to manually type in the URL to get to the site, no doubt a disincentive to some. Can someone explain to this novice in such matters why I couldn't post my message with the link, but the following message has one and works fine.
