My name is Emily, and I am a Family Education graduate assistant at the University of Minnesota. I am currently working to develop a Family Literacy certificate within our graduate department, to be available for students to acquire. I am currently gathering information that will help us provide comprehensive content within the Family Literacy training concentration. I have two questions and would really appreciate input. First, what components of a certificate program are essential to a comprehensive family literacy concentration? And secondly, what specific critical knowledge is essential for a family literacy teacher or program facilitator to have? I would also greatly appreciate any information about Family Literacy certificates or concentrations already in existence. I appreciate your insight very much. Thank you! Sincerely, Emily H. hoha0005@umn.edu
