Melanie, A program in Colorado developed a curriculum called "navigating
the American School System". It was supported through the Colorado
Department of Education and is available to everyone through their
website. Below is the direct link to the file. Hope it helps.

I am developing an ESL for Parents class. It will be for non-English
speaking parents who have students in the public school system
(elementary and secondary). It will help them better navigate and
understand the school system so they can better assist their children.
If you have such a program I would appreciate any information you are
willing to share, especially about curriculum and course outline.
Thanks in advance...
