On the discussion of "cost per student". Most programs provide a variety of literacy services (tutoring, GED class, ESL, Family Literacy, etc.) some programs have a much larger $ cost per student. Family programs can be expensive. I would like to find copies of any research/studies that quantify the $$ cost now to the $$ saved later in reduced cost of special education needs, reduction of welfare costs, increased employability of parents, likelihood of success of children involved, etc. I would appreciate any help you can provide. Any help from the peanut gallery?
