70 % of my clients are working on their GED, though most of those are not
yet GED level.
We do direct service and referrals.
We use ABE as the umbrella term here or developmental education
ABE refers to ALL levels up to GED level or 236 CASAS in reading. ABE is
not just 6th grade level.

I am completing a project on the GED. I would appreciate it if members of
this listserv would comment on these areas: 1. What percentage of your
clients are working on their GED? 2. Does your own program directly
facilitate this task and/or do you refer them other programs; to community
college learning centers and/or one-stop programs? 3. Do you consider ABE to
be an umbrella term used now for all literacy work not at the post-secondary
level? 4. Do you consider ABE to refer to literacy at a 6th grade level? 5.
Do you consider ABE to refer to literacy at a 8th grade level? Thanks in
advance for sharing your expereinces.
