Noemi has worked in family literacy for 12 years. During this time she has developed curriculum and mentored teachers, served on several advisory councils for local projects as well as state committees for professional development. Noemi was a state GED trainer and a Master Teacher in the state of Texas, a role that allowed here to present at state and national conferences highlighting the importance of family literacy. She has written several articles that have been published in state Adult Education newsletters, and was featured in the TV411 Video Series. As the assistant director of a local Adult Education cooperative, Noemi was responsible for designing and implementing professional development plans for the entire co-op.
