Gail,

I wonder also if there is material /studies which put figures in positive terms (I am  not saying this  well), as in "The general population has 80% of high school graduates, while in the prison population there are 10%" or whatever the numbers might be.

I think anything which shows there are significant educational level differences between those  inside and those outside might be helpful.
