The Reading Rockets documentary "A Tale of Two Schools" is coming to PBS
next week. Morgan Freeman tells this intimate story of parents and teachers
in two schools who are struggling to teach every child to read. "A Tale of
Schools" premieres in Washington, D.C., on Monday, September 1, at 9 p.m. on
WETA TV 26.
To find out when the show will air in your community, please visit
www.ReadingRockets.org/twoschools/broadcast.php. If you would like to
promote the television program online, please feel free to link to this Web
address. You can read a review in the Christian Science Monitor:
http://www.csmonitor.com/2003/0826/p18s01-lecl.html.
We've also launched a companion Web site - www.pbs.org/twoschools. It picks
up where the documentary leaves off and provides background information,
discussion guides, and profiles of the people featured in the documentary.
We are eager to receive your feedback and hope you will help us get the word
out to parents, educators, and librarians.
"A Tale of Two Schools" was funded by the U.S. Department of Education,
Office of Special Education Programs. It was produced by Noel Gunther and
Christian Lindstrom of WETA/Reading Rockets.
