Colleagues,

I am late getting this message to you, but I wanted to refer you to this web
address http://www.aelweb.vcu.edu/Progress/

Here you will find the Virginia Adult Learning Resource Center publication,
PROGRESS, in which there is a tribute to Susan Joyner, whom many of you know.
Susan moved back to England last summer, but she left us with wonderful
memories of her insight, intelligence, and attention to the "right stuff."

Also you will see articles on reading, one in which three members of this
list are quoted. I thank them--George Demetrion, Meriel Collins, and Karen
Jones. They do not live in Virginia, but now they are honorary Virginians.

Other publications of interest that can be accessed at this website are
Virginia's Adult Education Health Literacy Toolkit
www.aelweb.vcu.edu/publications/healthlit/ and the Teacher Observation Project, a step-by-step program that
provides teachers, specialists, and directors with everything they need to
improve teacher observations and feedback www.aelweb.vcu.edu/projects/observation/

We would like to hear from other states who have publications of interest to
the EFF Community.

All the Best,

Meta Potts, Moderator 4-EFF List
Glen Allen, VA
