Programs deliver many different models of instruction during PACT Time. Common PACT Time activities include parents and children reading, playing or creating projects together. The PACT component of family literacy is integrated with other components of the program like parent time and adult education. So, parents may prepare for what will happen during PACT time in their adult classes. If you'd like some more information on PACT time the National Center for Family Literacy www.famlit.org has a training called "Foundations in Family Literacy" which explores all components of family literacy programs. The National Even Start web page at www.evenstart.org can also provide some information on how Even Start programs generally organize PACT time activities.
