Dear Family Literacy Colleagues,
The National Center for Family Literacy (NCFL) is cooperating with the
Children of the Code Project to provide a series of free educational
seminars to be held in as many as 25 cities. The series is designed to help
educators and parents develop a deeper, first-person understanding of the
challenges involved in learning to read. The seminar evolved out of a larger
project that includes a documentary series to be offered to public
television and a professional development product for educators. David
Boulton, director of the Children of the Code Project, will conduct the
three-hour seminars. For more information, go to
www.childrenofthecode.org/workshops/index.htm. The current seminar schedule
includes the following cities:

	November 4, 2004 - 6:30 to 9:30 pm
	Herrick Library, Holland, Michigan
	Organizer, Herrick District Library

	November 20, 2004 - 6:30-9:30 pm
North Carolina Central University School of Education Auditorium
