Unfortunately, no one has the funds to follow students after they leave a family literacy program. We have discussed this study idea for a couple of years at the Goodling Institute for Research in Family Literacy at Penn State. I hope that we can add that to our research agenda for next year. In the meantime, perhaps we will hear from others in response to your excellent question!
