Hi All:

September 24-October 1st is "Banned Books Week" in the U.S. To mark the occasion, this primary-sources, NIFL-recommended web site briefly examines censorship with a special focus on book-burning. In centuries past, it wasn't just the books which were burned - so were their authors/translators. http://www.awesomestories.com/history/book_burning/book_burning_ch1.htm

To access the entire story, request an academic membership at the site's main URL. http://www.awesomestories.com/ It is free to all schools, libraries, educators and library media specialists worldwide.
