This is precisely why the Sequential Spelling technique is so successful at
re-building a child's lost self-confidence. You can get a child to
successfully learn to spell a word he doesn't know (such as "scattered")
without once being shown the word! Why? Because he starts with what he does
know, the word "at." You can find the exact sequence that works on our
website, print it out, and try it with any student or group of students. You
can also find the technique spelled out in detail on the website.
