Colleagues:

I'm beginning a project of building a materials library for an organization
that specializes in ABE, ESOL, Pre-GED and GED in workplace education
programs. As part of my process I'm conducting a broad, informal survey of
practitioners, asking you to recommend one or more of your favorites in any
of these areas, as well as in teacher development, civic participation, and
so on.

It is not necessary to initiate a group discussion of this topic, though you
may wish to. Feel free to email me personally at PDRNRI@aol.com. Please
include with your recommendations names of authors/editors/publishers,
materials type (e.g. grammar text, CD, novel, reader, civic participation
guide, teacher development guide, etc.).

Your advice is greatly appreciated -

David Hayes
