Even Start does have a four component program which includes early childhood education, adult education, parent time, and Parent And Child Together time [PACT]. Many factors enter into a pregnant teen's decision to drop out of school. Some teachers have problems with young mothers and do not wish to make accommodations to maintain that student in school. Even Start works to overcome barriers for the parents. Some superintendents have state that "allowing young moms into Even Start might make it seem like a cool club that would encourage other girls to get pregnant."
