If the jobs are ABE related, it would be ok, but this list goes out
nationwide.
The California adult basic education system relies on its web site OTAN and
electronic messaging for much of its communications. Have you posted there?

I was wondering if it would be appropriate to post two job announcements on
this list? And if not, does anyone have suggestions of educational list
serves or sites in California where I could post the announcements?

Thank you,
Tricia Schultz

Hi Amy,

Thanks for sharing your thoughtful question.

You may want to have a look at the expectations that adult learners, with
different developmental orientations, have for their teachers in "Becoming
Adult Learners: Practice and Principles for Effective Development"
(Teachers College Press, 2004). There's a chapter in there that discusses
this in-depth. I hope this helps!

Best to you and all,
Ellie
