How we deal with it makes a difference between peace and war, safety and violence, growth and stagnation. In this issue we are looking to publish writings, lessons, activities and reflections addressing the theme of building peace at home, in the community and in the world. We want to hear from people who have experienced conflict or even war in their lives and the lessons they have learned through those experiences. We want to highlight personal and community efforts though which people have learned to deal with conflict constructively. We'd also like to promote ideas for building peace in the world. Please see attached call for articles. Help Us Shape and Select Material for This Issue We are looking for Editorial Board members to work with us on this issue by * helping to conceptualize the theme and sub-themes and sharing insights and ideas * helping to identify resources, reprints, and to solicit articles from other authors * attending two meetings (1 2-hr meeting and one 3-hour meeting) held at World Education in Boston in early March and late May (a limited number of participants can join us by phone instead of in person) * securing or writing at least one article * reviewing submitted materials and making recommendations for what to print We can offer a $50 stipend per meeting and car mileage travel reimbursement About The Change Agent The mission of the Change Agent is to provide news, issues, ideas and other teaching resources that inspire and enable adult educators and learners to make civic participation and social justice related concerns part of their teaching and learning.
