Not sure if you saw this on Reading Rockets yesterday, but I thought it was interesting. BBC News (UK) Researchers at Cardiff University have discovered a gene which they believe is likely to be one of the causes of dyslexia in children. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/wales/4313937.stm Looks valid. I wonder if this will have any implications for our work? Thoughts? BTW, if you want to see what Reading Rockets is: "Reading Rockets is a national educational service of WETA, the flagship public television and radio station in the nation's capital. The project is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs. The goal of Reading Rockets is to provide information on how young kids learn to read, why so many struggle, and how caring adults can help. Visit us on the Web at www.readingrockets.org." Sometimes their info is pertinent to what we're doing. Jean Marrapodi Providence Assembly of God Learning Center PS. Sorry for the cross posting for those of you on the Calpro Research Listserv.
