Dear literacy supporter,

Preparations are well under way for "Literacy Liftoff '98," Literacy
Volunteers of America's fall conference in Houston. This year's conference
will be conducted in partnership with the National Institute For Literacy and
the National Alliance of Urban Literacy Coalitions, in cooperation with the
Houston READ Commission. In addition, there are seven program partners.

Registration this year will be easier than ever--a registration form is
available at LVA's Web site (www.literacyvolunteers.org). The one-page
document can be printed on a home computer, then faxed or mailed.

I was told that you manage a literacy-related listserv. I would greatly
appreciate it if you could either post the following information to your list,
or let me know how to do so myself. If I've sent you this message in error,
please accept my apologies and, if possible, let me know the E-mail address to
which it should have been sent.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. Please contact me if you have any
questions.
