For those who might not know, FNP stand for Family Nurse Practitioner.  You
also might see the initials PNP (pediatric nurse practitioner, WHNP
(women's health nurse practitioner) ANP (adult nurse practitioner) GNP
(geriatric nurse practitioner) and probably some others I can't think of at
the momment.  All of these are nurse practitioner specialities requiring
advanced education and certification in order to be licensed by states.
