I'd like to let you know about the Calendar of Events on LINCS. It includes information about major state, national, and international events for the next six months. I encourage you to visit this calendar, and submit items as appropriate. To get to the calendar, go to http://www.nifl.gov/cgi-bin/calendar/calendar_world.cgi. * And about events, I will be leading two roundtable discussions at the upcoming Cancer, Culture, and Literacy conference in Clearwater, Florida. One of these roundtables will focus on NIFL-Health and LINCS. It will be a way to put faces to names, and talk together about our online discussion group. The other roundtable will focus on Health Literacy Month and the accompanying website, Health Literacy Toolbox 2000. Join in the discussion about ways to raise awareness about the need for understandable health information. * And about the Health Literacy Toolbox 2000 website, we hope to have the site live within the week.
