Drue,

I would suggest you contact the Program for Appropriate Technology in Health
(PATH) in Washington, DC. They have an excellent track record working in
different countries around the world using innovative, non-print communication
methods to reach diverse populations. Their phone number is (202) 822-0033
and their web address is: http://www.path.org. They also have published a
very useful guide on developing print materials for limited-literacy
audiences. The guide includes a lot of helpful information on the development
of visuals. The title of the guide is Developing Health and Family Planning
Print Materials for Low-Literate Audiences: A Guide.
