Hello all. I am looking for information about anyone's experience with =
the use of free-standing kiosks for use by patients. We are considering =
creating a kiosk that will access patient learning materials that are =
easy to read, in multiple languages, and covering major health and =
illness topics.=20

We serve people of many cultures, most of whom don't have experience =
with or access to computers. We don't have space for patient libraries =
(we've lost access to the space I was trying to develop) and we don't =
have a patient librarian.

As of this moment, we are thinking that we will allow access to a our =
internal education site and to a few internet sites but not allow actual =
"surfing."=20
  =20
If you have literature knowledge or direct experience, I'd really like =
to hear about it, particularly
   - the population you were trying to serve and the population who =
actually used it
   - what were the topics people were most interested in
   - the location(s) of the kiosks and whether the location was =
successful
   - if you have one, would you do it again/ recommend this as a good =
approach.=20

Thanks for ideas and comments.
