Since 1976, HEC has provided community-based programs that provide health education and disease prevention to high-riszk, hard to reach and economically disadvantaged populations. We have implemented a Health Literacy Program (HLP) for academically and economically disadvantaged resident in several boros of the Pittsburgh area. Expected outcomes for our program are: to improve health liteacy, increase knowledge of health and wellness and improve health behaviors. We have been asked by one of our funders to compare our program's unit cost with indudstry standards. I am hoping that you can help me identify unit costs to deliver programs that are designed to improve the health of at-risk individuals or possibly point me in a direction where I might find this or similiar information. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! My e-mail address is jewel.mosley@highmark.com.
