I have learned much from all of you who take the time to engage in dialogue about health and literacy and I have been inspired by the work you do. What I have enjoyed most are the philosophical debates and stories from the field. However, for some time, my duties in my "real" job and personal life have limited my participation in the health list. I am writing to tell you that, after two years or so as the NIFL-Health "Literacy" CoModerator, I am passing the torch to one of Adult Education's champions, who also happens to be a member of this list. Deborah Yoho is a name you probably recognize from a number of eloquent and thoughtful posts to NIFL-Health. Debbie is the Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Columbia Literacy Council of Columbia, South Carolina. Deborah's breadth of experience in education, administration, and adult literacy will be a tremendous asset to the further discussion and exploration of the issues which unite health and literacy practitioners and the people they serve. I leave it to Debbie to further introduce her self, her goals, and her ideas for NIFL-Health Moderation. She and Helen Osborne will make a wonderful team for this list. I look forward to ongoing conversation guided by these two dedicated individuals. Sincerely, Alisa Povenmire System for Adult Basic Education Support Lawrence, MA
