It is never safe to assume that patients/public think about health and
related issues the way we health professionals do. As Len and Cici Doak
point out, most folks' logic (way of thinking about it), language (way of
talking about it) and experience (of health, illness, health information)
are very different from ours. SS

I agree about [the term 'literacy'] attracting attention.  I joined this
listserve because I come from traditional school of public health where all
of this was called health education...
