As is most often the case, these postings also included ways to get more information. * Yesterday we learned of an article that challenges some literacy data and, within hours, some of you shared your reaction with us. * We also were asked to share ideas what we would do if we could create the ideal state-wide system to address issues related to health literacy. There are so many ways to get involved in issues related to health and literacy. I want to remind you of two upcoming Health Literacy Consulting TeleClasses, "Health Literacy Month: What's Working, What Isn't, and Why" on October 19th and again on November 2nd, both at 4-5 p.m. EST. These TeleClasses are an opportunity to talk candidly about your experiences promoting health literacy in your local area. I am offering these class at no cost to you. You are only responsible for your own long distance charge for the call. To register, please click on the links below. Feel free to also e-mail me and let me know that you are interested.
