Subject: [NIFL-HEALTH:3057] cost of low health literacy

I am interested in hearing from anyone who has ever estimated what low
health literacy costs their organization (clinic, hospital, etc.) or knows
of a resource that explains how this could be done. I would like to know how
a formula was developed--what factors were considered, what mathematical
operations were applied etc. I would like to be able to do this for our
organization and include it in an article I am writing for our health
literacy newsletter.
Thanks in advance.
